Where to even begin about this day. For starters, shooting a wedding in Colorado has always been a dream of mine. Shooting a glamorous one-of-a-kind wedding in Colorado? Shoot I couldn’t even dream up something this amazing. Some of you may be wandering how the heck I got this gig. It’s a crazy story to say the least. I felt the Lord telling me to post a status about it one day on my business page. Allowing for vulnerability I posted it. That night I was skyping with a friend of mine who I’ve known since elementary. She mentioned that she saw my status and that I should contact Cassi (her best friend from OK). So I sat there thinking…”Oklahoma would be a fun place to shoot too, I guess..” Rachelle then let me know that is was going to a fabulous destination wedding in Colorado. I couldn’t believe it. What were the odds?! Thinking not much of it I contacted Cassie and mentioned I would be interested in photographing her special day. Two weeks later, Cassi and Taylor booked and I sat there in the gym in complete shock. The days to April flew by. I couldn’t believe I was on my way to shoot a Colorado wedding. As soon as we arrived, Hanna and I were greeted like family. We stayed in the property’s outrageous 22,000 sq. ft. house and pretended to be made of millions. Just kidding, but not really. This place was amazing. It even snowed on her wedding day. Not totally ideal, but it was totally cool. I loved spending the entire day back and forth with the girls. They truly made me feel like one of them. The day was filled with laughter, champagne, and Bridesmaids…three viewings of Bridesmaids. So many fabulous vendors and artists assisted on this day! I was just blessed enough to capture it all. This was recently featured on Ruffled, so please go by there and see a peek of what Cassi had to say about the day!
Just me hanging out in a snow storm, no big deal.
I’ll be documenting this fella’s wedding in September. I love a groom that gets down!
Cassie’s sister had her eye on that bouquet…even during the fake out.
Future clients:) See you in September!
It was a party to say the least.
Just running through the snow in her Couture gown.
